Do you discard formula after an hour they start drinking it?

Do any of you continue to feed your baby formula longer than an hour after they started feeding from it? I'm just curious. My daughter's 13 months old now and not taking formula anymore, but when she was, I was always strict on once an hour has passed, I dump whatever she didn't finish, since the container said to discard whatever she didn't drink an hour after she starts drinking. How strict is that rule actually? I saw a mom recently feed her baby the same bottle of formula that she fed hours ago. Not judging what others do, I'm just genuinely curious.

If I put it in the fridge then I would use it again a couple hours later. If it sat out at room temp then I would toss it.
For daycare, all bottles had to be completely prepared, powder and water already mixed and they just refrigerated them until the baby needs them, so clearly those breaking those rules isn’t that big of a deal.

I never did. Always go rid of it. Didnt want baby to get sick.

Whatever she didn’t finish I put in the fridge. I would toss whatever wasn’t finished after 24 hours. She never got sick.

If my baby is acting hungry 5 mins after the hour is up I’ll give it to him, but once it gets much more than that I start to feel paranoid and make him a new one.

My formula container says 2 hours at room temperature from the time the bottle is first mixed and up to 24 hours if it's mixed and placed in the fridge (without baby drinking from the bottle).
