Birth control and periods?

I recently just started taking birth control (Junel Fe 20 MG) because my periods are absolutely terrible. Is it normal to expect to skip my period this month or to get it? I still want to get my periods and am just hoping the pill will make them lighter. Thoughts and experiences with this?? Do you miss a period on birth control??

i started the same pill 2 and a half months ago. i took the first pill the first day of my period, and i remember still bleeding for like 6-7 days. i also still got my period on the placebo pills but it was only for like 4-5 days and really light. everyone’s bodies react differently to it though, but so far i’ve got no negative side effects or downfalls from it. good luck!
