Oh my god my boyfriend and I found the perfect house and with some back and forthing with the estate agents and negotiating the price, the seller has accepted our offer over the other buyers!!
I am SO excited but he wants us to keep it secret for now until exchange date but I just had to post it somewhere, so here you go!!!
A beautiful 3 bedroom house, well within our budget, with a garage and a conservatory, located in a village only 10 min drive away from our parents and friends!! And a 10 min drive to work! I’m honestly so, so so excited i almost want to throw up 😂😂 it doesn’t even feel real yet I feel like it’s all a dream tbh!!!!!
Now for the next stressful step; dealing with the solicitors 😭🏠 any tips for the next steps in buying your first home?? Or buying any house for that matter??

You and your boyfriend should work with a solicitor to draw up a contract which outlines how the two of you own the house (and what happens to one person’s share if they should die). If he dies unexpectedly, you’re not married, and in the absence of a will, his ownership in the house would pass to his estate, not to you. So there’s a potential legal battle. 
Most importantly what happens if they two of you end your relationship. How will equity be split among you? Will one buy the other person out? Can either of you afford that on your own? Will you sell the house? If yes, how will the proceeds from the sale be handled? There’s a potential legal battle. 
Save yourself the heartache, and work with a solicitor to draw up a legal agreement now.
