I have my midwife and lactation consultant telling me that my milk supply is fine (after poking my boobs and feeling them ‘full of milk’) but try feeding baby for 30-40 minute stretches and then he either unlatched screaming or falls asleep tired and wakes up starving an hour later 😣

When I press my nipple the milk just drips out one drop at a time. Isn’t it supposed to squirt? Once when I pumped while super engorged I saw it squirting, but it’s never the norm. And if I’ve fed baby for like 3 times in 3 hours I can press and nothing would come out 😣

Baby is on formula top ups as well but I’m thisss close to giving up on BF. I’m sad and disappointed in myself for not being able to do this 😭 But he needs at least 3oz per feed and I only produce upto 2oz per boob even when I pump after not feeding for hours. It sucks to see him scream in hunger after nursing for ages.

Also does anyone else’s areolas ache? Mine feel like they are made of tissue, a surface pain/soreness that’s only made worse when baby kicks or scratches them while feeding 😭
