Noisy sleepers?

My 5 week old is so loud at night when she sleeps. She’s not congested and her nose is clean. She just makes all kinds of sounds. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes!! And I check on her every damn time 🤦🏻‍♀️ even though I know her ass is just being dramatic. She’s always asleep!! But you would think something wild was happening between the breathing and panting and gagging and noises! Then as soon as she’s quiet I’m even more nervous because she’s “too quiet” lol. Never realized this was a thing!

It’s normal. They are exclusively nose breathers at this point. Their nasal passages are so small it creates that congested sound. The grunting and crying can be from a bowel movement, gas, or just dreaming. I manage to get sleep because we have a white noise machine on and it kinda a drowns those noises out.

Yep, lots of grunts and weird noises. Occasionally she lets out a couple cries while dead asleep and stays asleep. She was sleeping in our room up until a few days ago, but she’s been in her crib overnight the last few nights and we are both sleeping so much better 😊

My baby makes the same noise. It may be normal, but if you're concerned inform he doctor  about it.

Look up grunting baby syndrome. This is our daughter to a T! We had to put her in the crib in her bedroom because we couldn’t sleep. We had to weigh the risk of SIDS and sleep deprived parents. Luckily her bedroom is so close to our bed that’s almost like she’s in the room with us but far enough away that we aren’t awake all night long listening to her grunt.

My baby sometimes does a loud, shill scream which makes me jump up to check on her, only to find out that she’s fast asleep.
