Dress Shopping

In just a few short weeks I will be attending my very first 'prom', I live in quite a small town and travel is hardly an option hence my need to shop online. I am hesitant when it comes to online shopping and even more so when it comes to formal dresses. Have you purchased formal wear online? If so where and what quality did you receive? Any help is much appreciated xx
