My son has a lion pillow he had in his crib for prob about 6 months or so... And he always slept with a blanket ( everytime we lay him in his crib for bed he grabs his blanket and covers himself ussaully we will just see little feet sticking out 😂)

We just started using a blanket as a pillow to get her used to it. It’s a softer fluffy blanket
