How to put baby to nap after play time?

I’ve been reading this “EASY schedule” (eat, awake, sleep, you time) from a lot of comments and been really jealous coz my baby wants to be fed to be able to sleep. How do y’all do it?

It will take time to get baby’s cycle to change. What I did was offer her breast when she woke up and if she didn’t take it then I would wait for her cues. If she happened to want to eat right before her nap I would feed her then change her diaper and try to push a few extra minutes before putting her down. That way your breaking the cycle up a bit by distracting baby before actually going down for nap time. I just kind of did this every time and tried to push a few extra minutes until she just got on to the EASY way. It will happen for you just be patient.

you just got break the cycle you could start by feeding as soon as they wake up and use a pacifier if baby needs something to suck to go to sleep. it’s not going to work 100% of time when you first start but you gotta start somewhere. if baby is refusing to eat when first waking up then try to keep them awake after their meal so they stop associating food with sleep.

Problem with my son is, he eats falls asleep, then eats again when he wakes, then eats again before he sleeps. Only goes about an hour and 20 minutes without nursing.

We started doing this at 3 months. It’s not super rigid EASY, for example, sometimes her naps are short or she seems hungry again before her nap. I still 100% feed on demand if she’s hungry. That being said...
How do we do it? It basically takes a solid nap/bedtime routine. Also, the Huckleberry sleep app. Putting your baby down for naps and bedtime when he/she is not overtired is ESSENTIAL. You will have no luck at all if you don’t put your baby down at the right time. 
First thing you need to do is get the Huckleberry sleep app. Once you have 3 days logged and they start giving you a “sweet spot” to put baby down, follow it 100%. If it says to wait 20 minutes and baby seems tired, you know your baby best, but I try to have a dance party or something to keep her awake a bit so she has a good nap. 
Second thing is to just stick to the routine of EASY. Feed him/her when he/she wakes from naps. Have a solid awake time with lots of play to tire baby out. Lay baby down AWAKE, but drowsy after naptime/bedtime routine. 
Now the part I don’t have much experience with is crying when you lay baby down. We used a pacifier and that did the trick for us. If she woke up or spit it out, at this point (4.5-5.5 months old), I would start the Ferber method of “sleep training” and give baby a few minutes before going in the reassure baby and replace the pacifier. My baby has started sucking her fingers and given up the pacifier for sleep now.

I wonder the same thing. My little one refuses to eat when she wakes up. She will only eat right before a nap.
