For example, you have a sister. Your son is 2 and your sister lives around the corner. She shows up to his bdays but she’s never visited him, has no relationship with him and never asks how he’s doing when you talk to her.

For example, your mother or mother in law. They never help you with the kid(s). They are unreliable when they say they are going to, etc.

A lot of us have similar stories.

Assuming you have/had a good relationship with your relative prior to kids. Do you allow your relatives disinterest in your child to destroy the relationship you have with them?
