Depo???

Question

This is my first time on the shot. I got it last month and I have had heavy bleeding for about 12 days now. My periods are usually 3-4 days. I'm aware it can cause irregular bleeding but I just kinda want to verify if this is normal? Should I switch to something else???

Is it normal. I once bled for a month. I was on depo 3 years and after the first year of weird irregular bleeding, my period completely stopped.

I just started it a week ago, right when my period started... I bled way less but for longer. It doesn't bother me really, but it depends on your preferences. I just love not having to take a pill everyday. I'm thinking about the implant if this ends up not working for me. Anyone tried the implant?

Depo is awful!!! I did one shot and had the worst side effects, most they don't even tell you about. I had AF for a month straight and now she only comes every 3 months

I loved the patch. That was the best thing I found 💙

Plus if you're ttc it can take up to 18months to get out of your system and I've heard it can cause endometriosis.

I been on depo since I was 14 haven't encountered side effects. The excessive bleeding is somewhat normal , because depo is a type of birth control and birth controls aren't only for preventing pregnancy , my mom put me on it to regulate my period but she made me stay on it since I had a boyfriend , but it will go away , don't stress trust your shot

My period is usually 5 days and it turned to 7-8 days on depo. You're fine 😁
