"Super PCO"
Hi all!
I wanted to share the commentary from my Dr with people who would understand the context.
So I have been officially diagnosed with PCOS for about 9-12 months but I've known for years that I likely had PCOS.
We have been TTC for about 2 years and were finally able to conceive in Jan but had fetal demise at 6 weeks back in Feb with a D&C in March as my body didn't miscarry naturally.
My husband and I have just finished a month of cycle monitoring and tests on both of our reproductive health to ensure there isn't another factor (other than the PCOS) causing our difficulties conceiving.
During my final ultrasound; which was an Intra Uterine Saline U/S, my OB (who also runs a very successful fertility practice), was calling out various things for the nurse to take note of on my chart, when he says " right ovary is SUPER PCO - there is definitely over 100 in here. Left side about 20-25".
I felt so deflated that my body was generating that many in one cycle.
The positive note he said was there was a really good looking follicle on the left that looked perfect for detaching and we should definitely be trying this month.
Fingers crossed from this "Super PCO superhero"
