Pack n play or Halo Bassinet?

Question

We are trying to decide if we are going to use the halo bassinet or if we should use a pack n play with bassinet. The pack n play is tempting for even more convenience with the changing station, but I’m not sure if they are truly meant for infant sleep?

I have both and my daughter won’t sleep in the halo lol. Waste of money. Thankfully they resale at a decent price so I can get most of my money back. Just get a pack n play. You can use it much longer and for more than just sleeping.

Pack n plays are meant for infant sleeping, yes. If I remember correctly, bassinets aren’t actually tested or held to any standard for safe sleep.

They make a Halo pack n play type but it has different uses and you can use it as a bassinet. It’s all mesh which is nice. I think that’s what I’m going to try. It’s called the Halo Dream Nest

The Pack N Play will last you much longer for a cheaper price. We used our Pack N Play for 6 1/2 months! Every single night! Now we have it for travel, or if family with a little one comes to stay the night! I will say though, only use the mattress it comes with, that’s all you need. Just grab a few sets of fitted sheets and you’re good to go! It is not recommended to go buy an additional mattress for the Pack N Play. The Pack N Play we have came with a changing table attachment, which came in handy for months!

We used both.👌🏾 Our daughter slept in her Halo Bassinet next to our bed until she was about three months old. After that, she began sleeping in her one of her pack-n-plays until she was six months. After six my, she began sleeping in her nursery. The Halo is amazing and I highly recommend it!

I have the graco pack and play my daughter has been sleeping in the portable bassinet since newborn. She is now 11 weeks and since about 8 weeks I’ve placed it in her crib and she sleeps like that. I leave the pack and play in the living room so she can lay down and kick and play with her toys. I think you will get more use out of a pack and play

I use the halo bassinet in my bedroom and the pack n play in my downstairs living room. The pack and play was a lifesaver because I slept on the sofa the first three weeks and had him in the napper/changer part of the pack and play. The napper/changer attachment in mine sits up a little higher so I could see him easily and it was at a slight incline. It was perfect for a nervous first time mom.

Get the guava pack and play and bassinet attachment of you want a bassinet! U can use it till they are like 4 and it’s great for travel and the beach and anything! It’s a full size pack and play that packs up into a tiny backpack and weighs only 13 lbs - also over head bin approved! We use ours allll the time!
