What's the difference?!

My OB office and the office that does ultrasounds is separate (but in the same building). Tomorrow I have an anatomy scan with the OB in their office, and they scheduled a gender scan the next day at the ultrasound office too... is there any reason they cant just tell me gender in the anatomy scan? Like... I feel like sex organs are a fairly important part of ANATOMY.? Or am I just crazy and need to go to both?!

That’s really weird and seems like an opportunity to charge you twice. I work in an ob office, we just tell people at their anatomy scans unless they want to pay out of pocket to do an elective scan at 16 weeks. There is zero reason they wouldn’t be able to tell you. They have to look down there anyways to measure baby’s femurs and look at the base of the spine.

I go to the testing unit in the hospital for scans because my midwives don’t do them, but I’m only going for one anatomy scan. We did the sex with NIPT but I can’t imagine you’d need a separate one to tell you that anyway. Very odd
