Pregnancy while father was on Accutane?

So, I'm freaking out a bit. 
My boyfriend has been on Accutane the past few months.
We used contraceptives but my period is way late and has always been early or on time.
I'm well aware of the risks associated with conceiving while taking Accutane, but I couldn't find anything related to the father taking it.
Does anyone know if him taking it increases the chance of birth defects? Has anyone been through this? 
Any advice/information is welcome!!

He can’t get it without being given all the risks associated. It’s a whole national program that monitors him. He signed up and they make you sign a form stating that your aware of the risks. 
Tell him call his doctor. They will reexplain it. It’s a whole process. Good luck.

Its been so long since I was on accutane I dont know the male side effects regarding fertility or birth defects. I know they made me sign a waiver stating I wouldnt get pregnant and was to use 2 forms of birth control whike taking it. In order to fill the prescription a pregnancy test was done in the drs office each month. He should have been told about all possible side effects and given a booklet on it with information.
