So I stumbled upon this post and I’m pretty shocked. As a white person, I would think that poc would be happy to educate us on their culture and history, and not make us pay more to do so. I understand that historically poc were not granted equal economical opportunities as white people, but this is 2019. They festival also said the reason for the price difference was to insure that poc with lower incomes could still attend the festival. I also think that that’s just stereotyping the community by saying that poc are poor. I do understand that poc are still not paid equally and I do not agree with that, I still don’t agree with the price difference. Let me know your thoughts and why, but let’s keep the convo civil and respectful.
