When did you start CIO?

If you are against CIO please do not comment. 
I know CIO methods will be difficult to do but I am trying to gain knowledge about it and prepare! My LO is 13 weeks old and I know shes too young to do it now.. but she absolutely will not go down for bed drowsy and fall asleep alone. I’m thinking I can start it around 6 months? But I’m curious on when you started with your LO and your experience with it. 
*she sleeps in her pack n play in my room. If I put her down drowsy and keep my hand on her she will scream... she needs to be rocked in my arms and fully asleep before I put her down*

I started at five months letting him cry for a max of ten minutes at a time. Then I would go get him if he was crying and soothe him then lay him down again. He rarely actually cried the full ten minutes and often falls asleep now without crying at all. He’s 7 months now and some days this still works well, but some days he does cry longer I’ve lengthened the max cry time to 15 minutes but still he’s usually asleep well before that, often with no crying.

With my son I think he was about 5 months during naps (bed time was fine) . My second never needed it. My third it was not working for her until almost 10.5 months. I tried a few times earlier for her but I could tell it was to soon. It only took a few days and then they went right to sleep as soon as I put them down.

I think they say to wait until 6 months. We tried around then and it just wasn't for us. My son just screamed, not cry but screamed. He was a rocker as well and finally grew out of me rocking him once he turned one.

I think we waited until he was about 7.5 months? I was fully crazed and sleep deprived by then and was scared to try it but it worked miracles for both my son and I. Good luck, I hope you find something that works for you ❤️

We started at 12 months because I was exhausted, we had just finished settling into our new place and I had just reached the second trimester with his brother. It took about a month of letting him scream and cry in his room for about 20 minutes and now he’ll go lay himself down when he’s tired and sleep for 3-4 hours during naps and 12-14 hours a night

I did the Ferber method at 4.5 months. I do, however, still get up in the middle of the night to feed her but she can put herself to sleep now.

This kinda only helpful for bed time but my girl will be 15w tomorrow and she’s been sleeping through the night for quite some time now. But we always give a bath around 9-10pm we rub her down with some lotion get her ready for bed do some tummy time until she starts crying and getting super cranky. Then I fix up her bottle turn the lights off and her white noise on and feed her until she falls asleep. She sleeps 7.5-9.5 hours this way 
We still incorporate swaddling I know some are against it but my girl has delayed motor skills due to hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy and she isn’t rolling over yet

We used sleep sense at 12 weeks with my first and waited a little longer (due to a minor surgery) with my second. They both did fine and have slept wonderfully since then. It changed our life. They recommend a minimum weight and age. I believe it is 12 weeks or 13 lbs.
