C section to or not to do?

Second question today, sorry ladies. So, I have a big baby. I know ultrasounds can be off, but she does feel big. This is my fifth baby and all others have been vaginal births. I just want a smooth delivery. You know as smooth as can be. I just don’t want to push and push and push and then have to get a section. I truly don’t know what to do, I do have a choice right now and was wondering your experiences on c sections?!  Thank you

I had a c-section 2 days ago along with a tubal and let me tell ya its alot more painful then just getting a c-section. I gotta be extra careful not to strain myself. My daughter was worth it though she came out healthy and happy 💕👣

I had a c section 2 weeks 6 days ago and I'm already healed moving around. My birth wasnt what I expected I wanted a water birth but at 37 weeks baby stopped moving so wentinto hospital they gave me a sweep then induced me and after 24 hours I had another pessary tablet put in and another sweep that worked but I had one long contraction and was in agony my contraction didnt stop I was on the monitor and babys heartbeat was dropping with the stress. I had my waters broken by the midwife and was 1cm I had to have an injection to stop my contraction as it was causing alot of stress on baby I was prepped for a emergency c section and was taken down I went from 1 to 6 cm in 10 minutes when I was examined and found out I haemorraged.. worst birth but the c section actually saved my baby and I highly recommend it I had a baby girl 7lb 2 at 37 weeks and shes very happy and healthy.. my scar is healed and on my bikini line so you cant even see it!I wouldn't care if you could see it as it's a reminder of the moment my baby girl came into the world but for people who may be conscious its something to not worry about..  dont be afraid of a section cause before you know it it's over with and the first 3 days are rough but after that yourl be okay and moving around just dont stay sitting down to make yourself worse be active and yourl heal quicker

If it's not medically necessary then I would avoid. I had a C-section with my first and would love a less clinical approach and easier recovery.

I didn’t like the whole clinical aspect of my c-section. You have your baby on a cold metal table and I couldn’t hold him until after the team stabilized him. You hear and smell everything. My recovery was much harder from my c-section than my vbac. My baby had to go to the NICU right after our c-section too, and I wasn’t allowed to get out of bed for 12 hours so I couldn’t be with him the first hours of his life. That really messed with me... and my milk production. I also got a small infection in my incision that required 2 rounds of antibiotics to get rid of, while I was nursing. Not everyone has complications with surgery, but they are more likely than with a vaginal birth. My baby is big this time, but my doctor is confident that I can push out anything up to around 10 pounds. Especially since I’ve vaginally delivered before, she said your body just knows what to do.

I had one 2 weeks ago. It wasn’t bad at all, the recovery was just really really hard. It’s gotten better but I’ll never do it again if I have a choice.

What about breastfeeding?  Any of you ladies breastfeeding with having a c section?  Did it take longer for milk to produce?
