Paranoid I won’t know I’m in early labor

Currently 38 weeks and 4cm dilated, I’ve been having what I assume are still Braxton Hicks for weeks and they’re uncomfortable but not painful, don’t last etc. Felt like period cramps, sometimes the aching was in my thighs too. the problem is we have an hour to an hour and a half drive to the hospital I’m delivering at and I still have no idea what to expect of contractions. Yesterday I started having slightly more painful sensations in my hips and thought maybe that was it, but it was twice and hours apart. Im so over the anxiety and waiting 🤦‍♀️
