Herpes Simplex 1 Passed to Baby
Okay, can anyone explain how babies are reportedly getting HS1 from kisses from families members with cold sores, but HS1 positive mothers can successfully vaginally deliver and breastfeed without passing the virus? I constantly see posts and articles about babies getting rashes and all sorts of scary things from cold sores, but I'm not understanding how. Thank you!
