I personally stopped drinking before taking meds and iui. Idk if it’ll really affect anything but it gave me peace of mind that I’m doing everything to be healthy, because if it doesn’t work I’ll at least know it’s nothing that I did wrong. 🤷‍♀️ But I’m a little nutty when it comes to this 😂 Do what you feel is best for you!

Personally I think giving things up like drinking during the process and in the TWW just makes a negative feel more like “a loss”. If I am not sacrificing my normal life it feels more like a missed opportunity. I never stopped drinking for any of my cycles and actually always made a point to have a couple glasses of wine the night before my blood test just as a last hurrah in case it was positive! Do what you’re comfortable with but personally I think just carry on with how you would normally live.

I asked my fertility specialist about drinking and she said to go forward with normal life. She said there is no reason to not drink until I get my BFP

Here’s how I look at it.... if we were fortunate enough to get preggers the old fashioned way, we would know anything about the TWW. 
Personally, I’ve done 6 IUI now, and the first one I did everything perfect. Slept 10 hours s night, ate zero junk food, absolutely no alcohol.  Then AF and and I got wasted because wtf.  It’s not a good mental strain to act “as if”. I found it more damaging and devastating than going on about my business. 
Not saying hi out with your girls and get drunk during your TWW, but o r here or there should be fine. 
Also- CBD gummies helped with relaxing and anxiety.

I played by the rules for three cycles and nothing. So this cycle I decided I’m doing whatever the heck I want... it’s a long shot and my next step is ivf anyways! Do whatever makes you happy 😊
