Headaches from breastfeeding?

Hi all - Since my little one was about 2 months - she’s 8 months now - I’ve started getting these crazy headaches that cause vomiting. They are NOT migraines. I’ve never had headaches before and they come on suddenly. I think it might be related to hormones and not drinking enough water. I’m going to the doc tomorrow but they weren’t helpful in the past. Anyone know of anyone who’s had something similar? Could it be from breastfeeding?

You really need to stay hydrated while breastfeeding. I drink at least a gallon a day just to maintain my supply. Dehydration can can cause headaches and nausea. I honestly don’t think it’s from breastfeeding.

I was getting them then my father noticed how I sat to nurse. I then realized I hunched over so bad I was straining my shoulders and neck in a bad way. I got one massage and then worked on not hunching so much and I haven't had a headache since. The whole thing got worse as she got older/bigger. I see now how instead of bringing her up to me to feed, I was essentially laying her on my lap and leaning down to her. When I returned to bring her up to me with pillows or just sitting differently, it solved the problem. My neck never really hurt either was the crazy thing. I had no idea how tight my neck, shoulders and upper back were. I hope yours is something easy to fix too!

I got those too and I really think it was from not enough water and food. I always felt weak and had the worst headache after a nursing session with my son

I’ve had no pain or clogged ducts, so I’d like to say no but baby has slowed down her breastfeeding lately.
