Evening primrose oil?

I was advised by my ob to start inserting primrose oil capsules to help soften and dilate my cervix but she didnt say how often to, and I'm also wondering, if my cervix is already dilating can I or do I  put the capsules into my cervix or just vagina?

I’m taking one capsule now orally. Each capsule is 1300 mg. They also have 500 and 1000 mg capsules but when I went to GNC that was all I saw. I’ll insert vaginally in about a week or so. I’ve heard some people take one capsule per day and also insert 1 to 2 capsules at night. I’m just starting with 1 to see how things go.
