After baby is born

What method of Bc are you using after baby comes and how soon after will you start it?
This is our last baby and we have discussed my husband having a vasectomy. But I just don't know when is a good time to plan it. 3,6,9 months from now?

We personally are only going to be using breastfeeding as a form of natural family planning because we would like to have more children quickly but we have discussed the non hormonal iud for birth control after we are finished.

My friend was pregnant 3 months after her first baby by just using breast feeding and spermicide... Just so you know!!!!

Same! :) That is our plan exactly

We'll go back to withdrawal. Worked for us until we decided to try for a baby, so we'll see!

We want a second anyway, but it worked for us for 4 years at least! My doctor said it's actually as effective as condoms if you do it right.

Getting an IUD at first postpartum appointment

We will use condoms and I'll track my ovulation. It can help you know when you're least likely, as well as most likely, to get pregnant. And if we get pregnant again, that's fine!  I don't want any hormones/pills/IUDs and we aren't done having kids yet.

Paragard IUD. As soon as I get cleared, so probably at 6 weeks

Were going to go with a hormonal iud. I don't have the greatest memory with pills and have a history of them not working. I had an iud for about 3 years before. Only issue I had was it was difficult to lose weight with it but I understsnd a bit more of what I have to do now then I did back then. After the next little though one of us is getting clipped, basically whichever is cheaper.

Tubal. It will be done 6 hours after the delivery. It's rather inexpensive, don't have to deal with hormones, and is expected to be a easy surgery.

I'm going to look into Implanon again if it's covered bc I am horrible at taking the pill and I LOVED being on Implanon the last time.

I want another baby but not for about a year but don't want to use condoms or anything hormonal, it took forever for me to get regular after BC. I guess I will have to ask the dr.
