Russia bombing Syria. What is Putin really up to?

On Wednesday, Russia began bombing targets in Syria. They claim they're targeting ISIS, but many reports indicate that the bombs actually hit non-ISIS enemy targets, who are also anti-Assad rebels. Thoughts?

I'm not thrilled about it. I suspect the civilian cost will be high.

I don't know what all the right answers are, but we have to do more. We have to get aid to Aleppo, and we have to take more refugees.

I can just picture Putin whistling and saying, "Well, they all looked the same from over hurrr.."
I guess the cease fire has ended. I think that this is Russia's perfect excuse to test out their new bomb technology without having too many people asking too many questions.

Putin thinks Obama is a joke. He knows Obama is a wuss, and that Russia doesn't need to fear/respect the US. He claims they're targeting ISIS, but that's a lie. They're attacking opponents of the Assad regime. WWIII is on the horizon.

Russia is the only country brave enough to take down Isis. We know we aren't doing anything.
