39 weeks 2 days. Last night when going to the bathroom I heard a clump into the toilet I looked and it looked like my mucus plug had alittle brown on it too. But at my doc app yesterday he said I was 1.5 dilated so can you be dilated & lose after?

That’s why you lose it - when the cervix dilates, it falls out. (I am sure you can lose it without dilating as well, but when the cervix is dilated there is nothing to hold the plug in place)

Some women don't lose thier plug until they are in labor.
