Any luck with Doppler?

Have y’all had any luck or any frustrations with the Doppler? I have yet to hear baby after watching many videos. I’m only at 11+1 so maybe it’s too early? I hear my heartbeat in so many places and I’m pretty positive I hear the placenta. No baby yet, though 🤷‍♀️

I didn’t even try until I saw the doctor do it. They are experts and find it very quickly. I looked to see where he found it and then go for that spot at home. I’ve successfully found baby’s heartbeat at home 3 times since week 12. am now 14 weeks. It takes me about 5 seconds to find it and I listen to it for about another 5. I would suggest not spending a lot of time looking for it as the affects are not quiet known.

What are your mhz? 2.5 and 3mhz is good. Also being real close to where your pubic line below your navel and pointing down. Staying in one place and just angling the wand around but not moving it around. I also put a lil pressure to it. Idk of you have tried any of these ideas. Having patience and going slow helps. And also if the dime size of gel isnt enough ise more. It took me abt 2/3 days to find hers. I first concentrated on my right side bc that's where the US tech found her heartbeat. I found her heartbeat on the left. Went to doctors the other day and they found her on the right. So babies do move. I was doing it for about an hour and I was a lil over 12wks when mine came in the mail.

My midwife found mine at 9 weeks. It's surprisingly low, she basically had the doppler positioned just above my pubic bone.

I hear baby every other day and have since I was around 8 weeks or so (12+4 now)
I find that a full bladder makes hearing it harder
Also, move the Doppler incredibly slow when first trying to find it because sometimes the heartbeat is “hiding” lol I will sometimes hear it super clear and other times it will be mixed in with my own heartbeat

Baby’s is still really low, try just above your pubic hair line. I’m 13 weeks and baby is still this low for me also.

I’ve found it a few times, but I also knew where to look, and what it would sound like bc I use to do it with my son.
