5 Month Old Side Eyes

My daughter just start exhibiting this behavior last night. She will be looking at you or at something and she then turns her head but her eyes don’t follow they keep looking at whatever she’s looking to the point where she’s looking out of the corners of her eyes. I’ve looked it up online and have read through a ton of articles regarding eye contact & autism but nothing speaks to specifically the child looking side eyed. Has this happened to anyone else’s little one? We are making an appointment with the doctor but I wanted to hear anyone else who went through something similar. Thanks y’all!
