Would you leave your partner if they went to prison for tax evasion

I can’t be the only one that thinks that’s so irresponsible. I’m watching jersey shore and mike is facing prison time for tax evasion and I find it so ridiculous. Why not just pay your taxes? He planned on marrying his fiancé in Italy but couldn’t pay his taxes? If I was here I wouldn’t even want to marry him
