Vaginal birth after a csection

I’m 37 weeks pregnant and I be 38 weeks Monday dr have told me I could try having it vagina delivery whent in yesterday and they said I’m still low not dilating considering by 30 weeks I ended going to hospital cause I was having contractions so they controlled it and still keep having them since they released me from hospital and haven’t dilated so they don’t want me past my 40 weeks now the dr is trying to convince me to get a csection cause there risk the scar getting ruptured so I’m a little scared on that side has anyone gone through a vaginal delivery after a csection
