I had nexplanon inserted at 9:00 this morning and it's 11:00 at night now. The NP who inserted it put a compression bandage and a regular bandage on and said to leave the compression bandage on for 24 hours and that it'll help with bruising. I've kept it on but my arm around where it's wrapped is really starting to hurt to the point where I can't comfortably move my arm. It's hard to hold my baby and it's making it affect his feedings because I can't just hold him I position and it hurts his latch. Can I take off the compression bandage and just leave the other one on at this point? I can already see a really bad bruise around the insertion site so I don't even care about "helping" the bruising anymore.
