Inducing?

I’m curious how many mommas in this group induced or plan on being induced for their July baby. Also, if it is/was medically needed or elective. Feel free to share your stories in the comments too! 😁

Dr said there’s a new study that says it’s safe to induce at 39 weeks so that’s what we’re gonna do 👩‍⚖️

I induced at 39+3 electively. My dr recommended it because studies show that there’s typically less risk of csection or other assisted birth techniques when inducing at 39 vs 41. I was against it at first but after 39 weeks I was done. I went in at 4cm dilated and only was in active labor for about 3.5 hours before pushing. It was a great experience for me.

Chose to be induced at 39&4. Im on my 4th  (and final!) And have never had spontaneous labor. My first 2 went over 41w, so with the last 2 I said screw it, let’s get it done earlier! Also, my first was huge and I don’t want that again

Elective induction but it’s only 2 days before my due date. I asked because my husband is a truck driver and I wanted him to be there.

I was induced at 40+4 with first due to low amniotic fluid and had a horrible long induction (4 days). I want to prevent induction if possible. I'm now 40+4 and if baby isn't born by 40+12 I will have to be induced.

Had a NST tonight and ultrasound a fluid is low so starting induction tomorrow morning with cervadil - due on the 16th and anticipate baby being born on the 14th :)

Being Induced at exactly 39 weeks as baby is measuring big and I’ve already had two “big” babies at 39 weeks, both with shoulder dystocia. (First two were 8lb 10oz and 8lb 12oz... so I definitely don’t think my body would hand a 9+ baby without the high possibility of emergency c section)

If I make it to 41 weeks and 4 days without her showing up I'll be induced because the pregnancy would be going too long at that point. I would never do an elective induction.

My first girl was almost a week early and weighed 9lbs 15 oz and was 22 1/2 inches long... so out of the fear of having an even bigger baby were inducing at 39 week exactly this time around. Only 4 days left😅
