6 month old not loving food yet??

Anyone else’s baby not too sure about food yet?? My baby has tried carrots, bananas and peaches as well as rice cereal and is interested but doesn’t seem to really “want” to eat food yet (these are homemade purées). She is exclusively breastfed.

Have you considered baby led weaning? It’s all about letting baby be in control of the feeding and gaining a positive relationship with food. Also it’s easier on you without making purees.

It’s been 2 weeks and it’s like a war with her. She hates it. It gets splattered everywhere

She loves food. But she loves sticking her tongue out and smearing food on the tray more.

So far the only food my boy doesn’t like is avocado. I’m going to keep trying but he really didn’t like it. He also didn’t like peas or green beans the first time, but he eats them fine now. Just keep trying!

My son hasn’t adjusted to the differing textures well. It’s taken about a week for him to get used to and start to enjoy something new. So when we started purées, it took about a week for him to come to like them. And then we moved to thicker mashed foods, and again he took about a week to adjust. Sometimes they just need time to get used to the new experience. Even still, my little guy would take a bottle over actual food any day lol 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just keep trying it took 3 days for my baby to eat properly and still hates some food but will eat it though. Leave sometime after breastfeeding like at least an so she is not full. I breastfeed too and she will have her meal after nap in the morning and few hours before bed in the evening.
