Am I rude?
So I really like my own personal space bubble. A couple of weeks ago I was standing in the queue at a clothing store and a young man, about 17, was behind me, with who I assume to be his mother. Anyway, he was standing really really close to me and kept banging into my back or bumping against my butt etc. He then started looking at himself in a mirror that was facing us and dancing but, like, pushing his hips back and forth. He kept knocking me and every time I moved even an inch he was right up against me. I eventually got so annoyed that I turned around and asked him to please stand a bit further back and stop bumping into me. He, and the woman with him, looked at me as though I was rude and made snide remarks to each other, and I told them that I am entitled to my space and he won't get to the front of the line any quicker by standing on top of me.
Anyhow, this happens often here, where people behind me will literally push their cart right up against my ass if I just move a cm forward. Or like today, a teller wanted to get to her till so without saying anything she slid in behind me and rubbed her ass right up against me to get to her till. Is it really weird of me that I have a problem with this kind of behavior? I mean, I only say something if I've really reached my limit of patience, but then I always feel as if these people think I'M the one that's out of line. Am I just a rude or horrible person?
