Vesectomy reversal, what happens and how long?

Hi, my husband has an appointment next week for a vesectomy reversal, what happens on this first appointment, will he need bloods doing etc, will he get a date? It's on the NHS and has got the appointment to see the urologist within a week of going to the doctors.
