Mother enlisting in the military?

Question

I am married and I currently have a two month old, and I had highly considered joining the Air Force before I became pregnant. Now I am looking at trying to enlist in about 2 years time or so. Enough to get with my personal trainer and get back in shape, make sure everything is settled with my husband/family, etc. 
I’m not looking for bashing or shaming. Only advice, of the helpful nature. 
Such as, how does training after BMT go? Is family allowed to go with you wherever it is located? 
Does your husband/significant other work? Or stay home with the kid(s)?
Best careers with least likely deployment? 
Past experiences with being a military mom?

1) Family will not be permitted to move with you to your tech school unless it is a very long schooling, usually at least a year. You’ll graduate basic training, spend 2 or 3 days with your family, and then be taken to the airport to fly to your tech school location. There, you will live in the barracks. Depending on your instructors and branch, you may have limited times with your phone. My husband was in tech school for 8 weeks with the Army. He didn’t gain phone privileges until 3 weeks in and he was only given it to use on Saturday between 10am-6pm. Then it was locked back up until a few days before he graduated. Like I said, depends on your instructors, but even after graduating basic training your communication with your family COULD still be pretty limited. 
2) I currently work as a bartender while my husband is Active Duty for the Army. I’m in the enlistment process for myself right now, so I only work 3-4 days a week. Prior to starting enlistment I worked full time as a retail manager and took college classes (I’m 22). We don’t have kids, but most of the people we do know with children, their significant other stays home with them because daycare outside of base is costly and the base child development center has a 1 year long wait list.
3) Every job deploys. If you’re not deployable, it’s usually due to a serious medical condition like suicidal thoughts and you’ll likely be getting discharged. How OFTEN you deploy though as a specific job is something you can look at, although it boils down to your unit and location. My husband’s current unit only deploys 9 months every 3 years, but his friend Levi has the same job, on the same base, but is in a different unit and they deploy every 1.5-2 years. If you aren’t okay with deploying overseas for 6 months to 1 year, I highly advise you taking a step back at your desire to enlist because it will VERY likely happen at some point during your 4 year contract. 
4) Can’t answer personally because we don’t have kids, but our friend’s wife is a stay at home mom. She enjoys it. Their son is only 2, so she likes being able to spend everyday with him. She also is someone who does NOT want to ever work. Before he enlisted, she worked at McDonald’s and that’s the only job she’s ever worked. She has 0 interest in ever pursuing a career or another job. So I think that’s why she enjoys staying home so much. She knows she doesn’t want a job in the “real” workforce and being a stay at home mom is her “career” she has in mind for herself.

I am military spouse, I work currently on base making a little more than minimum wage, but I’m thinking about joining, some time next year. We have a 3 year old. I’m thinking about Navy because my husband is in navy so we could be stationed together. I’m not much help, maybe you should talk to a recruiter

Training depends on what your job is. Tech school  could vary from a few months to a year or longer. Your family usually isnt permitted to come with you unless its longer than a year.
Yoyr husband working depends on what you guys agree on. You arent going to be making a ton of money so if you guys can live how you would like when just working then go for it. If he needs to work so you guys are more comfortable them do that. 
Anyone can get deployed, you  can't join the military if you arent deployable. I wouldnt try to join if you arent ok with the idea of potentially getting deployed. Also the world is only getting more chaotic so deployments are becoming  more common.  But I also know people that have been in 10 +years that have yet to deploy. The only job I know of currently that doesnt deploy is a recruiter. 
I enlisted prior to having children so I'm not sure what additional information you need, but you will be away from your family at times, even if it's for a TDY but its doable. 
I'm not sure of your reasons for wanting to join. Health benefits, retirement, GI bill... but I think its worth it.
