When is the right time to take a pregnancy test?

All pregnancy tests advise you to take it after your next missed period, but can you take a test and still get an accurate result before the anticipated period? I’m so anxious to find out (took one and it came out negative) and I’m not sure if I have to wait for that window of time.

Be careful taking tests too early. The can give false positives or negatives. I ended up with two false positives when doing before. Both OBGYns I went to said it was two early was 2 and 3 days before missed period. Sometimes can also take a few days after missed period for hormone levels to go up each ladys body is different

If you take first response 6 days sooner you can take them 6 days before your period. Although I recommend waiting til 2-3 days before your period.

Two weeks after you had sex , or around the time of your missed period. But on the box it should show you how sensitive the test is. For example some tests can detect pregnancy five days before your missed period and it shows you the percentage of how accurate it is at detecting pregnancy that early .
