Almost two months ago I got the paragard inserted. I was on birth control pills for almost 7 years and wanted to leave hormone BC.

When I got the IUD i was on my period, and it lasted two weeks. After the two weeks I was not spotting or anything. 2 more weeks after my period ended my next period began. I am currently at 3 full weeks of having a period and it’s making me nervous.

I’m not sure why my period hasn’t gone away. I know irregular periods are common when first getting the IUD but this period has been so irregular. The first week was like any other cycle, then I had very light spotting. Few days later I had a heavier period and then again light spotting. It keeps going back and forth and I’m not sure why.

Any advice or stories are welcome. Thanks
