Help please..

So my period was due today.. never turned up. Normally by now I'm having major painful cramps and bleeding. I feel like I can feel something happening down there but it doesn't feel normal. I've taken a first response test and it came back bordering on negative... I swear I see the line but my other half swears he can't.. my period is always on time and I've been off birth control a month.. can anyone help or shed light? We really want to add another blessing to our family
