Starting period?

Ok here's a back story. I started bc 3 weeks ago (just started my 4th week a few hrs ago) im super new to bc pills (combination) i looked on Google and it says that there could be spotting in between periods. But here's the thing , i had sex with my man when i had started bc (he pulled out) so there's a 50% chance of it being the pill that's causing it or pregnancy. I understand that pulling out isn't always effective. So im politely asking if it's actually my period coming (but im just spotting) or something else. Sorry for asking a stupid question

Btw: for the past week I've been spotting. And once i had pink with brown spotting (just to make things more clear)
