Did the thought of IVF ever bother your conscience?

I just wonder like... I can’t just have frozen embryos sitting somewhere and not be able to give them a chance at life. Or what do they do if the embryo has a chromosomal abnormality. If they don’t transfer them, then what do they do with them? I’m just so curious because TTC is just not working and I’m starting to need medical intervention at this point. This month I’m trying medicated, timed intercourse. Have a feeling we’re gonna work our way up...

I don’t have embryos yet but i feel like it’s not different that having sex every month and those eggs and sperm not making life. However, you’re allowed to have your own moral thoughts and feelings about it and do what feels right to you. There’s a lot of medical intervention to try before you might need Ivf.

They destroy or donate leftover embryos to science or another couple. I have 23 embryos left over. I have no feelings towards them at all, I will be donating them to science

That's why I decided not to do the chromosomal testing.  If we ended up with extra we would donate them to other couples ttc.  I only had one embaby the first round, and it stalled the night before transfer.

Yeah, I agree. That’s the one thing I don’t like about IVF. I feel like if it was me, if I still had embryos, I’d donate them to separate countries, praying that they wouldn’t find each other and get married. 
Adoption is always an option, and it’s such a beautiful option.
