Is it bad to use nail polish removal when your getting further along in pregnancy?

I haven’t used nail polish at all since I was really early in pregnancy. I had the same old nail polish for months now. Today I got so irritated looking at old chipped nail polish it was driving me nuts. I used nail polish removal to take it off today. The first time in a long time. It smelled really strong so I did my best to breath my mouth and then I received a mask so I would smell that too. Is this bad using nail polish removal when your in your second trimester?
