Everyone does things in different time. I've lost twice so me personally I don't plan on getting anything major or big till soonest bout 26-27 weeks. 
I'm 19 weeks and finally got the room emptied that will be the nursery. Other than that nothing has gotten down or purchased.

It’s never too soon to do what you want for your baby. I didn’t have anything done u til about 33 weeks with my first. I had made my larger purchases like the car seat and stroller which I was thankful I did. Baby girl ended up coming 4 weeks later. 
This time, I hope to go to 37 weeks. We have bought some clothes and things but we are waiting until after our shower to see what else we need.

Aww, look at you. If your ready by all means get ahead start. I'm almost 20 weeks with our third baby. After our second child was born I had 3 miscarriages. Before my losses I was getting things ready early while I still had energy and felt good. I'd like to not have to worry about preparing in my third trimester. Good luck!

I don’t think it’s too soon! Whenever you are ready to start decorating is the right time for you, and no one else can decide that. :)
We probably won’t start getting anything set up until later on, just because I think our families are really excited to buy gifts for the baby. It makes more sense for us to wait and see what we need to buy after the two showers being thrown (one in my hometown out of state by my stepmom, and then one where we live by my mother in law).
