Help - Please Read

If I eat over 1200 calories, I gain weight. I don’t know what to do. Lots of people I hang around with are able to eat lots more than me and stay the same weight. I want to lose weight but I feel like if I restricted myself it would be unhealthy. Many say 1200 is “starvation” but it’s enough for me, however I want to be able to eat more sometimes. If I even eat 1300 I would gain 2 pounds and it would stay on. Help please.
