Loving one child more?

Question

My 2nd child will be here in two week and I’ve really struggled getting close to her this pregnancy. Always running around busy with my 2 year old son. I love my son to death and I don’t see any way I could love someone as much as I love him and it makes me feel like a bad mom.. maybe it’ll be different once she’s actually here? Idk. Has anyone else struggled with this?

It's different after your first. Pregnancy isn't new anymore and feels like a bunch of waiting around while you're busy caring for and making memories with your other kids. But you'll bond once baby arrives! I actually bonded easier because I knew what I was doing, I was more relaxed.

I am also feeling this way, I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant with a baby boy and I have a 2 year old daughter. And for some reason I get emotional thinking about not giving each of them equal attention or making my daughter feel not as important or not as loved. I do feel like my feelings will change once he's here and I get to actually experience it.

I am currently pregnant with #2 and my 1st born is 9 1/2 months. Some days I feel a bit guilty. That I did not give my 1st born enough time to be an only child, that I do not have the energy to play as much anymore since this pregnancy is leaving me super exhausted and that my milk supply is decreasing significantly and I am not sure if we will make it to 1 year of breastfeeding. Also my husband and I have both said how can we love this baby as much as our 1st? Will our 1st always be our favorite? I think some of these questions are normal. After expressing our concerns we are now talking about ways we are going to divide our attention between the two of us and our 2 babies come Feb 2020 so that everyone gets enough love and attention from the both of us.

I felt the same while I was pregnant. I could have written this myself. Now that my son is here we have definitely bonded. It’s still a little different though to be honest
