Belly button skin looks like it will tear.... HELP

OK so I took my belly piercing out like 6 to 7 years ago it went thin on top ever since because being young and silly had a couple of heavy bars in at the time. Now I'm 29 weeks pregnant with my first it looks like it's going to tear and it's so thin not sure whether I can ask the doctor to just cut it because the skin around it is also not starting to look great.... Any advice???
