Owlete worth it?

Is it worth buying it? I was just going to get the sock and sensor bit so it would be cheaper but I also dont want to waste money if it isnt worth it.

My friend had one and she said to never get one. She said it made her paranoid and went off all the time for no reason. Or baby would kick it off. She ended up being exhausted because it kept waking her up when everything was perfectly fine. She ended up returning it after 50 days or so.

I’m not getting one because the AAP doesn’t recommend them. They go off needlessly all the time and there’s no scientific backed research to suggest that they even work. I’ve also heard they can burn baby’s foot. The best thing you can do (if in the US) is follow the ABCs of safe sleep.
No hate to anyone who buys one, but I just won’t be getting one

I didn’t get the owlet just bc it’s so expensive but I did get the snuza! I would check into it! It has really good reviews!

I had it with my first and will use it again. It’s not perfect. Doesn’t work well when far from the “hub” and if anything blocks the signal. Can’t be used in anything that moves, vibrates, or rocks. It also stays on better with a sock. Despite those things, I felt that the readings were very accurate. I could tell how deeply my son was sleeping based on the readings. Even if it appeared he was sleeping soundly, I could almost predict a premature wake up based on heart rate. He slept in our room in a pack and play. He wore it for 18 months and I only ever had three false alarms. Mostly on nights where he moved frequently and messed up the signal.

We're having twins next week. We bought the owlet because my husband did alot of research and watch a TON of YouTube videos on it and it seemed like a good choice although very pricey. Hoping it's worth it but if you order from Amazon or target it can be returned within 60 days.
