Period or MMC?

Monday I started bleeding and cramping pretty bad at 5 weeks 3 days. I called my doctor and he said to treat it as my period. I am so confused. I took 5 pregnancy test and they were all positive. I am not sure what he meant by treating it as my period. Im just a little concerned because I had a MMC in Feb and I don't know if I had another miscarriage on Monday or if it was my period that came on. HELP!

I think it also sounds like a chemical pregnancy which I had as well. I lost that at 5w2d. However I got a baby on the very next cycle and he is 2 years old. 
When he said test it like a period...he meant act like you weren’t pregnant and wait for the ovulation in 2-3 weeks.
I treated my chemical as a period. I was sad but acted like it was a period and caught the egg on the next cycle. The hcg is still elevated and you will still have a positive for 3-7 days.

What a stupid doctor sorry you had to go through this. 
This is what’s needed hun, go do your hcg bloods and see the levels. Do them again 2 days later to make sure they are doubling. 
If they are doubling at least every 2 days then this is not a miscarriage. 
By 7 weeks you can do a scan and see why you’re bleeding I have a subchorionic haematoma which makes women bleed unbelievably and many think they’re miscarrying when in fact they are not. You may have one. I know it’s scary but many pregnancies are fine with them. 
It may be lots of things like some women still get their first period early pregnancy. You won’t know til you do hcg bloods and scan by about week 7

It’s impossible to have a period while pregnant. It might be a chemical miscarriage. I’d go get your levels checked. Maybe seek a different doctor.

It sounds like an early miscarriage but could be pregnancy bleeding. Have you retested?  had one last month and my doctor said the same, until the cramps became excruciating (then they wanted me to go to the ER to check for ectopic).  A chemical only causes an issue if you get pregnant before your next cycle (me this month) because your due date will be uncertain.

I’m sorry to say that it sounds like another miscarriage. I’m surprised though that your doctor didn’t set up an appointment for you to come in. I’ve always had to go in to get checked for my miscarriages. Perhaps he meant treat it like a period as in pain management etc. and if anything is much different than a period then to call back?
