Marginal Cord Insertion & Extra Placental Lobe

When we went in for our 20 week scan they found that I had marginal cord insertion, as well as extra placental lobe. The radiologist said it was nothing too big to worry about but would be getting US every 2-3 weeks to watch baby girls growth.

My OB said the same thing and that it may work itself out and everything was great.

Fast forward to follow up ultrasound and the radiologist says “that looks concerning” and leaves the room without saying anything to me and does not return for 20 mins!

They are recommending me to go see an MFM at this point, which is not until August 1st! I am freaking out and have terrible anxiety! The measured her head and the width was 4 days ahead and circumference was two days behind.

Anyone else going through this?! 😩 I just want to cry
