For those who have had a c section in the past, did you get to breastfeed right away or were you put into recovery for a bit before? My last c section I was put under so my son didn’t get food for like 2 hours since I was in recovery. I’m hoping this time a spinal will work and I can be awake for it. It’s a planned c section this time around so I’m going to ask my doctor if she thinks it’s okay if I pump a bit out (day before or hours before)for baby to eat if I’m in recovery.
