How does your baby go to sleep?

Question

My husband wanted to try sleep training our 16 week old baby because she breast feeds to sleep and I put her in her cot asleep. 
Sometimes she will wake straight away, sometimes sleep for half an hour then wake and others she is down for 7-8 hours before waking! 
I was just curious what you are all doing? 
I know I should be teaching her to self settle but it’s so hard!

I always nurse to sleep. I don’t believe babies should be taught to self soothe... they need us and our comfort and need to know we are close.

I nurse to sleep - completely natural and healthy. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise if that's what you want to do. Ain't no harm in teaching my boy that I am always here, and the bed time is not a lonely place all by yourself, but instead a time to associate with love, nurture and snuggles with mummy.
I too went back and forth on this, everyone said they need to self soothe, but then when I looked for literature saying its OK to nurse to sleep, I actually found tonnes of stuff in favour and saying actually how positive it is!
The only downside would be if baby is waking in the night and relying on it to get back to sleep when they're not hungry, but my boy doesn't do this. So it's working for us, for now

I nurse him and he sleeps next to me all night lol. wakes up once for like a 10 min feed if that. I usually am asleep during that feed 😂

At bedtime my LO has a bottle, then we breastfeed a little extra until she’s drowsy. Then she goes into her crib and usually takes 5-20 mins to fall asleep. 
Nap times are different...she’s in daycare, so idk exactly what they do, but when she’s with me we follow the sleep/eat/play schedule. So when I see her tired cues (yawning, rubbing eyes, fussing excessively), I take her into her room, turn on the white noise, and sway with her until she’s settled enough to be put into the crib. I really try not to put her down already asleep unless absolutely necessary. That’s usually rare though.

Man I tried sleep training for nap time because my little one only naps 30-35 min but it is so hard! But if she keeps waking up in the middle of the night because her pacifier fell out then I will start sleep training her at night.

Pajamas, swaddle,  bottle, lay down awake. She’s out in 10 minutes and sleeps 10-12 hours a night.

I nurse my little man to sleep at night. He usually goes down for about four to five hours and then he's hungry again in about two to three hours.

My son is 4 months. I feed him then take him to his room. His room is dark with the sound machine and night light on. I change his diaper and take him out of his sleeper if he’s wearing one. Then i lay him down and swaddle him. He’s usually half asleep but still moving around and making noises. I then move him to his bassinet. I try to not lay him down asleep

Last bottle, change diaper and put in sleep sack/swaddle, read books w her noisemaker on a timer of 15 mins and rock. She’s generally out by the fifteen minute mark. She sleeps at least 8 hrs.
